When crisis occurs the need to communicate is immediate. If business operation is disrupted, customers will want to know how they will be impacted. These people would want information, thus, an important component of the preparedness program would be the crisis communication plan. Crisis can happen anywhere, at any time and often occur when they are least expected. When a crisis does occur, events usually unfold rapidly, leaving little time for planning. That is why advance preparation is essential. Some crisis can be predicted and prevented, and those that cannot be avoided can be minimized if handled properly. Therefore, it is necessary to handle crisis in a swift and organized manner.

Crisis Communication Planner is a 2-day course designed to help participants prepare their organization for inevitable threats to reputation, execute the crisis communications plan, then, when the crisis has passed, assess and do what must be done before the next threats occur.

Eligibility: Basic knowledge in Business Continuity Management. Process: Examination will be administered at the end of the last day of the program. The certificate is globally recognized and accredited by ICOR. It is a 40 item multiple choice question with participants needing to answer 30 items (75%) correctly to get the credential.
