An organization should have competent auditors to audit their management systems to check the effectiveness of implementation and to sustain the management system. It is a requirement of the ISO 14001 environmental management system standard for companies to have internal environmental audits carried out. It provides practical training for all the planning, performance reporting and follow-up of internal audits in all industry sectors. Many companies which initially achieve 14001 certification run the risk of losing their certification at a later date due to ineffective internal auditing.
This 2-day course provide guidance on the steps of conducting an internal environment audit and the skills that an auditor need to posses to be able to conduct an effective internal environmental audit. Also, designed to provide practical instruction for the internal auditor, and involves considerable delegate involvement through workshops and case studies.
